STEVE BOLAND

A farm-raised Missouri native, Steve is known throughout the Midwest for being a respected bullrider who has only just begun his climb to the top. He’s also recognized for being a skilled builder. His experience in construction began in his childhood, helping his father build cattle pens. Since then he has headed all sorts of projects, from houses to barns to grain bins. Australian Shepherds have been in the Boland family for two generations, so it was only natural that Steve should continue the tradition with what he proudly calls his working companions. Having cattle and a use for great stock dogs, the decision has proven to be a wise one and he’s never looked back. As with Aussies, horses have been a passion from the start. Education in equine reproduction, combined with his gift for training has been an invaluable asset. And being the cowboy that he is, he can often be found rounding up cattle with a rope in hand. Deeply dedicated, Steve enjoys spending his time with the three things that mean the most to him– the dogs and horses and woman of Lucky B.

ALICIA DAVIS

Raised in Texas, horses and dogs have always been front and center in Alicia’s life. As a young teenager, she was professionally trained in showjumping but left the English world of horsemanship to get back to her Western roots after following her heart to Missouri. She grew up on the back of a horse so it’s no wonder that any free time she has is spent rounding up cattle and trail riding in the breathtaking countryside with Steven and the dogs. Growing up with Doberman Pinschers and German Shepherds, Alicia developed a love for Australian Shepherds when a friend brought their Aussie to show and tell. From that moment she knew the breed was special. And when she met Steven and his Australian Shepherds, she was delighted to have the wonderful breed as a part of the family. The intense working ability, huge heart and unique intelligence of the dogs continue to fascinate her. Always busy helping prospective buyers find that perfect four-legged friend, she enjoys dedicating herself completely to the dogs and horses and cats and man of Lucky B.
